Mike has over 30 years’ experience as a financial executive with extensive operational experience. He has been the senior financial officer at several organizations, including Magna, Canada Brick and Deluxe Entertainment Services, with responsibility for all financial aspects and has overseen the human resources, payroll and benefits, tax and IT functions. Throughout his career Mike has been a key member of the senior executive team and played a leading role in setting direction, goals and objectives for the organization. He has worked very closely with the sales and operations teams analyzing margins, determining pricing for new and existing projects and services, and evaluating new technologies. Mike’s experiences include negotiations and construction of a major manufacturing facility, negotiation and selection of new facilities, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mike has spent much of his career focusing on change management and corporate restructuring, improving the bottom line through enhanced business processes, cost reductions, and improved cash flows and management information systems & reporting. He has overseen the financial integration of several acquisitions/new facilities, ensuring proper financial controls are implemented and timely financial and management reporting is established providing appropriate KPI and financial data to allow for ‘faster’ and ‘better’ decision making. Mike has also implemented ERP/financial systems in a variety of industries.
