Bill has over 30 years of experience in Canada and the US leading finance and operations of public and private companies.
Bill’s expertise as a CPA/CA includes strategy development & execution, business development, cash flow management, KPI development, continuous improvement and productivity enhancements, business valuations, mergers & acquisitions, strategic alliances, systems implementation, public company reporting, enterprise risk management, sourcing and refinancing of debt, global markets analysis, product liability claims support in the US, tax planning, human resources & compensation matters. Bill has served in operational, strategic and financial positions across a variety of sectors including: consulting, medical equipment manufacturing, agricultural chemicals and equipment, commercial printing, scientific and educational publishing. As an engineer, Bill is experienced in distribution facilities design and implementation, machine design, quality control, technology project management, and construction supervision.
Most recently Bill served as CFO and COO of Wiley Canada leading growth from $25 million to $50 million, before assuming a global leadership role in the US. As Senior VP Finance and CFO of Wiley’s $400 million Global Education division, he managed financial teams in North America and Europe.
Bill has engineering and business degrees from the University of Toronto and studied agricultural engineering at McGill University, as well as a CPA/CA designation. Bill has been on the board of industry associations, private companies in Canada and the US and non-profits.
