Eric Richardson – Principal, Western Ontario
Eric is an accomplished private company CFO with a 20-year track record of helping owner/managers develop and manage sustainable business models. Eric is especially passionate about working with entrepreneurial personalities who are driven to create or leverage new technology for developing solutions to important problems.
As the finance representative on the senior management team of 2 different technology start-up companies, Eric has been the driver of a myriad of strategic projects and initiatives that have included closing both government and 3rd party funding deals, developing strategy maps and balanced scorecards for performance management, optimizing cashflow to reduce working capital needs, improving gross and net profit margins by standardizing systems, controls and planning to meet short, medium and long term goals and objectives. Eric has also provided the financial stewardship required for 2 different Asset Sales or Exits. The first was for Skura, at privately held IT Systems Integration company sold to IMS Health. The second was for SFX, a privately held SaaS software company sold to Indegene.
Eric is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds an MBA from McMaster University, is a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Eric is also a volunteer with the Canadian Income Tax Volunteer program and serves as volunteer advisor to local Startup companies.
