Kathleen Engel – Principal, Edmonton
Kathleen has over 20 years as a financial professional and leader. Her experience at J. Ennis Fabrics, Align Fence, Canada Culvert, and Diversity Technologies Corp (Di-Corp) has meant exposure across a vast number of industries including retail, oil & gas, manufacturing, distribution, and construction. She has successfully guided organizations through acquisitions, dispositions, geographic expansions (both domestically and abroad, corporate restructures, and the creation and implementation of formalized strategic planning into organizations.
Kathleen also has extensive experience with developing internal controls, project management, financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting, ERP System Implementations, workforce planning and change management. On the non-financial front, she has worked to create and develop purchasing, safety and human resource departments within organizations.
A passionate leader, Kathleen is able to energize employers and develop game changing results through clear action plans covering both operation and strategic imperatives. She understands the story behind the numbers is more than reading financial information and that interpretation is key to harnessing untapped opportunities. She capitalizes on these opportunities through an “out-of-the-box” approach to problem solving, and consistently drives efficiency, process and profit improvements.
Kathleen is a firm believer in continuous improvement. In addition to holding an MBA, CPA, CMA Kathleen she serves as a Mentor for the CPA accreditation program and has taught courses at MacEwan University. Kathleen is also a commissioner of oaths for the province of Alberta.
