Kim Freeburn – Regional Director, Central Ontario
Kim is a strategic leader who brings a broad business acumen to her organizational partnerships. She has 30 years of corporate finance and operations experience in sectors including logistics, wholesale, food service distribution, and public accounting. Kim held several senior finance and CFO roles with Sysco Corporation, a Fortune 100 company, during their rapid growth from 2 Canadian facilities to 27 diverse companies and $5B in revenue. In her role as COO with Baker Tilly KDN LLP, Central Ontario’s largest public accounting firm, Kim was instrumental in the rebranding and expansion of the firm through two mergers.
Leveraging extensive experience managing growth, Kim has a proven track record of building long-term sustainability. Her areas of expertise include implementing financial strategy, acquisitions and post-merger integration, governance and risk management, analytics, and performance metrics (KPI’s), systems integrations, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, leadership, and talent development.
In addition to her executive career, Kim has held board positions with a variety of non-profit organizations and committees, and is a Certified Executive Coach. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University as well as a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) designation with the Ontario Institute of Chartered Public Accountants.
