Mazen is a high-level creative and strategic problem solver with over 18 years of experience across several industries, including the construction, EPC contractor, retail, and investment sectors. With experience working as a senior leader with start-ups, establishing family-based offices, and restructuring large international organizations, he understands the financial complexities involved in running many different types of businesses.
Having held senior executive positions such as Vice President of Accounts and Finance, Group Finance Director, and Chief Financial Officer, some of Mazen’s chief responsibilities included IRFS experience, cash flow management, financial planning, investment strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, internal controls, treasury management, compliance, auditing, and implementing a full ERP solution. With this type of background, he understands the importance of both the small details and the big picture when it comes to a business’s financial situation. As a trusted strategic advisor and team player, Mazen thoroughly enjoys the challenges involved with helping businesses become more efficient and successful.
With a strong ability to pinpoint inefficiencies, Mazen excels at making proactive recommendations that increase the bottom line of organizations, including financial reporting, real estate investments, project financing, and the implementation of cash flow management tools. Mazen has a Global Executive MBA from the University of Toronto. He also is a CPA and a CMA. In his spare time, he enjoys going skiing, playing tennis and soccer.
